Class Knowledge

Please tell us your opening rotation (bullet-point form or similar is fine). If you play multiple specialisations then please do this for each one

Tend to use Dancing Rune Weapon to get up to 10 stacks of Bone shield in a quick and efficient amount of time and then just follow normal rotation using bloodrinker off of cooldown.

Please tell us your general rotation or priority system (bullet-point form or similar is fine). If you play multiple specialisations then please do this for each one

Blood DK
My class is a class which is well suited to reactively healing damage back which it has suffered opposed to other tanks such as a Brewmaster and Protection Warrior which are more inclined to proactively refuce the amount of incoming damage which it takes.

This leads to the blood death knight being more effective at large strikes which deal most of their damage over a short period of time to allow myself to more efficiently heal back the damage which has been inflicted. The main way that I do this is by pooling an appropriate amount of runic power to make sure that any damage sustained can be mitigated efficiently and effectively but ensuring that i do not overgenerate runic power by using death strike before I cap Runic power to gain a slight increase in dps for less optimal mitigation.

Another strength of blood is that it can be quite effective at taking magic damage due to Anti Magic Shell making death knight one of the strongest magic mitigators, this is further excelled in when blood takes a mixture of damage from both physical and magical sources at the same time as they can effectively deal with both sources easily and effectively.
A place where Blood can be at weakness is a long string of incoming damage over a long duration e.g. A long dot, in this scenario a tank like a brewmaster may be more preferabble

Please list your current stat priority (screenshots of your character profile on SimCraft/RaidBots will also suffice), and then explain the benefits of each stat for your specialisation, making sure to include any softcaps or breakpoints you are aiming for

Blood
Haste>Vers=Crit>Mas
Haste as it lets a blood death knight generate runic power more often to use for death strike
Vers as its flat mitigation
Crit is a luxury stat which can be aimed towards for high dps
Mastery is pretty much useless as blood shield is extremely weak

Frost

Please list your current talent setup, without abbreviations, detailing for each row whether the choice changes for Single Target, Cleave, and AoE

Death Knight talents in certain branches of the talent tree are quite weak whilst others can be situationally effective given the encounter.
An example of this is in most encounters in the game you would go with Will of the Necropolis as a lot of the time damage intake isnt rapid enough to warrant the other two options but in cases where damage intake is too great you would change to Rune Tap if an encounter has a lot of tank busters which need to be mitigated or use Anti-Magic Barrier if there is a crazy amount of magic damage.

For Frost talents are the exact same on every boss this tier

An important note: failure to play optimal specialisations may result in loss of raid spot/being sat. Please confirm you have acknowledged this
Yes

Raid Related Info

What is your opinion on sitting during progression (potentially for multiple bosses)?

I am completely okay with sitting out during an encounter as it is important to understand and realise that a certain class may not be ideal/viable for certain encounters/

What is your opinion on Private vs Public logging?

Depends on the guild i have no personal preference however its always a nice feeling being able to brag about amazing parses

Background information

Please list your previous guilds and a brief reason for leaving each of them (current expansion)

The guild im in currently Mithra are progressing at an ok rate however the main thing which is holding this guild back is the fact that there are clear underperformers in the group in regards to both damage and their mechanical skill and no effort is being made to improve/replace these members.

Why have you chosen to apply to Weeping Angels?

Looks like a guild which has a much more professional raiding environment than what i am currently experiencing and feel like i can use my own skills to better myself and help those around me progress their own characters.

Do you do a lot of m+? :p

Hello there Steve!

I've got a few questions!

You don't mention any previous history except for your current guild, why is this?

You mention different talents and when to use them, can you go abit more indepth about every row & the decision you make for them?

How do you approach a new boss? Raid prep etc. How do you prepare?

Do you have a working mic? How often do you use it & are you comfortable communicating during the raid?

How much value do you place on synergy with your co. tank? And is regular communication between the two of you important?

And lastly, yes we do quite abit of m+ :)

Yaru

You don't mention any previous history except for your current guild, why is this?
Not much to say tbh unless you want me to go back to previous expansions.

You mention different talents and when to use them, can you go abit more indepth about every row & the decision you make for them?
In the first row Blooddrinker and Rune Strike are the only 2 viable for mythic raiding in my opinion as heartbreaker only is useful in situations where there is a constant stream of around 4 mobs which no boss in Uldir is currently showing except Zul to some degree. Blooddrinker is the main dps talent in this row and provides a high increase in damage output with a average mitigation throughput whilst Rune Strike is a much more defensive resource focused Skill so it would be more viable to take this if i was having serious survivability issues.
Second row is extremely static as hemeostasis is strong in every scenario and consumption is extremely niche for use in raids and Rapid decomposition provides next to no mitigation inless using the azerite trait Bone Spike Graveyard(? dont know what its called)
Third row is also extremely static with foul bulwark always performing lower than Ossuary and Tombstone only being considerable if a proactive ability is absolutely neccesary but would still probably be outclassed by ossuary and I could always just take rune tap and still have better mitigation because of how strong Ossuary is.
I explained Tier 4 above :p
Tier 5 is utility
Tier 6 Is just as static as many other branches in the blood death knights with the go to option being Bloodworms as voracious is laughably weak in comparison to the other two. In some scenarios it might be beneficial to take Mark of Blood however i value the on demand healing of Bloodworms instantly popping whenever i get into dangerous territories.
Tier 7 depends on the scenario and progression status. For example Purgatory is the perfect talent for progression unless the fight demands high uptime of Vampiric Blood in which i would use my go to talent for clearing farm content Red Thirst as its effect is way too valuable as Vampiric Blood is one of Bloods strongest cooldowns. And Bonestorm is amazing in high target situations causing an extreme boost to dps oand making me even harder to kill during as it provides a LOT of healing if theres a lot of targets.

How do you approach a new boss? Raid prep etc. How do you prepare?
I tend to see what other people are doing on a fight, check if theres anything different in a tank specific setting, see if anyone is using different talent choices and look at various forums to see if theres anything people struggled on/looked at beforehand.

Do you have a working mic? How often do you use it & are you comfortable communicating during the raid?
Yes i am extremely comfortable with talking during a raid.

How much value do you place on synergy with your co. tank? And is regular communication between the two of you important?
Synergy between tanks is extremely important in my opinion as it is important to understand the state in which your co-tank is in whether they're struggling whether you need to taunt earlier, whether the boss is in a bad position, communicating whether we're both ready to swap bosses in a multi target encounter which requires bosses to be tanked on opposite ends for example. Another reason i value the communication between tanks is the fact that im not a mind reader. :p
