Race and Class
Blood Elf Mage
Main Spec

Currently I would consider my main spec Frost. However, for fights where other specializations would perform better I would be comfortable playing any specialization of my chosen class.

Off Spec(s) (only include if viable for progression)

As mentioned above I am capable of playing all of the 3 specializations for my class therefor here I will list Arcane and Fire.

WarcraftLogs Character Profile [REQUIRED]
Alts (comfortable playing for progression)

So I have currently 3 full geared characters ready and comfortable for progression. Same goes for any of these classes I am comfortable and practiced playing any of their 3 specializations.

Below here I will provide similar links and information about my 2 current alts:

1st - Ðáx - Warlock
Current main spec: Affliction

Class Knowledge

Please tell us your opening rotation (bullet-point form or similar is fine). If you play multiple specialisations then please do this for each one

1. 3-4 seconds before the pull I would pop Potion of Rising Death

4. Activate Icy Veins.
5. Activate any on-use effect trinket or racial available.
6. Activate Rune of Power if I had it talented.
7. Cast Frozen Orb
8. Make sure to keep dumping my fingers of frost charges
9. Use large damage cooldown spells, such as Comet Storm or Glacial Spike, in combination with Brain Freeze or Ebon bolt for maximum damage.
10. Keep follow the normal priority frost rotation from here.

Fire:
1. 3 seconds before the pull I would pop Battle potion of intellect

5. Cast Rune of Power 2nd time.
6. Activate any on-use effect trinket or racial available.
7. Activate Combustion
8. Cast Fire Blast if Heating Up activates. If Heating Up did not activate from your pre-cast, instead cast Fire Blast and Scorch. If you got a Hot Streak due to running Firestarter, you can skip this step.
Combustion Damage Window

4. Place Rune of Power
5. Activate Arcane Power and any racial cooldowns or on-use trinkets.

13. Cast Evocation when your Mana is empty and commence Conserve phase.

Frost:

Non- Glacial Spike Build:
1. Ice Lance after every Flurry cast.
2. Mirror Image, if talented for.
3. Icy Veins
4. Rune of Power, if talented for.
o if target will die in the next 25 seconds, making every other consideration moot;
o after Frozen Orb;
o any of Ray of Frost, Ebonbolt, or Comet Storm are talented and off cooldown;
5. Ice Nova if Winter's Chill is still up after your Ice Lance's Global Cooldown, if talented for.
6. Flurry if you have Brain Freeze and you have just cast either Ebonbolt or Frostbolt.
7. Frozen Orb
8. Blizzard if 3 targets are in range — 2, if Blizzard is currently instant cast due to being talented into Freezing Rain.

11. Comet Storm, if talented for.
12. Ebonbolt, if talented for.
13. Blizzard on single target if instant due to being talented into Freezing Rain, or on 2 targets if not instant.
14. Ice Nova, if talented for.
15. Flurry, if Winter's Reach is equipped and has procced.
16. Frostbolt

Glacial Spike Build:

1. Ice Lance after every Flurry cast.

5. Ice Nova if Winter's Chill is still up after your Ice Lance's Global Cooldown, and if talented for.
6. Flurry if you have Brain Freeze and
o after Frostbolt if you are currently at 0-3 Icicles;
o you have just cast Glacial Spike.
7. Frozen Orb

9. Ice Lance if you have Fingers of Frost.
10. Comet Storm, if talented for.

14. Ice Nova is talented for.
15. Flurry, if Winter's Reach is equipped and has procced.
16. Frostbolt

Keynotes: You never want to cast Glacial Spike without it either hitting 2 targets, or being Shattered using Brain Freeze. In addition, Glacial Spike builds only ever cast Ebonbolt as a backup if you do not have a Brain Freeze for that Glacial Spike.

This is the most important aspect of the frost specs damage.

Please list your current stat priority (screenshots of your character profile on SimCraft/RaidBots will also suffice), and then explain the benefits of each stat for your specialisation, making sure to include any softcaps or breakpoints you are aiming for

https://www.raidbots.com/simbot/report/a3psNEoPHTpuYH5mm8JaUU

My characters current stat weights are as follows:
Intellect – 1.77
Critical Strike – 1.38
Versatility – 1.37
Haste – 1.29
Mastery – 1.06

Intellect is just a flat damage increase as it increases my spell power and thereby my spell damage

Versatility is a flat-out damage done increase and damage taken reduction.

Mastery affects the damage of my Icicles and thereby also my damage from Glacial Spike and a damage increase to Frozen Orb.

Haste decreases my cast time which results in more Icicles and it lowers the global cooldown and the cooldown on Blizzard. It also minorly decreases the cast time of my water elemental and mirror images if talented.

Critical Strike increases my chance to critical strike on a target, here however there is a soft cap to consider that I am trying to achieve. The soft cap is 33,44%. The reason for this soft cap is this: Because of Shatter, it is possible to have more than a 100% chance to Critically Strike with any given spell. To obtain your Critical Strike chance against frozen targets, Shatter multiplies your Critical Strike chance by 1.5 and adds 50%. At 33.34% Critical Strike chance, for example, your chance to critically hit frozen targets is 100.01% (33.34% x 1.5 + 50%).

Please list your current talent setup, without abbreviations, detailing for each row whether the choice changes for Single Target, Cleave, and AoE

My current talent setup: https://imgur.com/a/Irx7WKa

Row 1: Bone chilling is the go to talent in almost all situations the only reason for changing would be to go for Lonely Winter to not be pet dependent. But the damage increase of Bone Chilling is currently too high to ignore also the Freeze ability on my pet help in adds situation to achieve maximum damage of Comet Storm.

Row 2: In this row I picked Ice Floes as it helps for movement I would consider shimmer for fights where you got to move to a particular spot fast. Or if the movement provided by shimmer was smoother for this encounter.

Row 3: Currently Incanter’s flows is the go to talent for frost as we do not have any massive burst and there by the other talents lacks behind especially rune of power.

Row 4: In this row the choice is really between Frozen Touch or Ebon bolt, but as Glacial spike is currently so strong having Ebon bolt to secure a brain freeze in a case with no flurry proc is simply too valuable to pick any other talent.

Row 5: This row I have chosen Frigid winds simply to help tanks kite in dungeons if a specific boss mechanic could require another talent I will change to fit the situation.

Row 6: In this row Comet Strong is currently the best target for all situation except for a 2-target full fight cleave where I will be playing splitting ice for the extra cleave damage.

Row 7: In this row I have picked Glacial Spike and that is the go to talent in almost all possible situations due to its strong output as of now.

An important note: failure to play optimal specialisations may result in loss of raid spot/being sat. Please confirm you have acknowledged this
Yes

Raid Related Info

What is your opinion on sitting during progression (potentially for multiple bosses)?

I raid for progress and if this is what is required for a specific encounter where another class or likewise is stronger I am completely fine with being benched.

What is your opinion on Private vs Public logging?

My experience is that private logging seems to have people focus more on their own improvements rather than pushing for some high logs and thereby missing out on some mechanics.

Background information

Please list your previous guilds and a brief reason for leaving each of them (current expansion)

I am currently in a guild called Dreamstate it was a new start up for BFA but yesterday it was announced that the guild will be disbanding therefor I am searching for a new guild.

Why have you chosen to apply to Weeping Angels?

I have chosen Weeping Angels because I want to completely focus on progression in this expansion and I am searching for likewise individuals willing to put the time and effort into this. As I don’t have much previous hardcore raid experience I know applying to a guild like this is a long shot for me, but I hope that my dedication can lead to a tryout. I searched your guild on wowprogress.com and checked your videos and your information about your guild and it was a nice fit to what I was searching for.

Thanks so much for reading and I hope to hear from you soon!! If you have any questions you can ask me in-game or in this thread I presume.

As per our chat today, your lack of experience (via logs) is quite apparent here. I saw 1 normal log with a 6 percentile.

While I appreciate the effort that has gone into your application, there is simply no way I could justify giving you a trial based on your current experience. I would suggest you perhaps download warcraftlogs and start getting some logs for yourself, to enable you to have a realistic chance of getting into a guild that matches your ambition.

Best of luck,

Zag
