Please explain in detail your opener

The opener on elemental shaman is simple enough. If totem mastery is specced then i will make sure to get that up at around 4 seconds before pull. Then at 3 seconds i will cast fire elemental and at 2 seconds i will preport and start casting elemental blast.
As combat has now begun i will immediatly cast flame shock and then lava burst and then proceed on with the normal rotation.

Please explain your rotation, if any

The rotation for elemental shaman depends a lot on the build used, i will explain the lightning rod build that is used on most nighthold bosses.

The top priority for elemental shaman currently is keeping as much uptime on elemental blast as possible, it will be used on cooldown (Try to have elemental focus for this)

Obviously you want to keep your flameshock dot on the target constantly, it will need to be refreshed when there is between 0 - 9 seconds left and you have 20 maelstrom (Try to have elemental focus for this)

Next thing is keeping lava burst on a constant cooldown, you have two charges of these so it is not as important, but try to not miss any lava shocks from procs. (Lava burst is guaranteed to give elemental focus, so try and weave it in between other spells)

Earthshock when above 117 maelstrom, try not to overcap (Try to have elemental focus for this)

Because i have the legendary shoulders i will cast earthquake whenever it procs, sometimes holding off on it for a bit if adds are going to spawn

Lightning bolt will be used as filler.

Stormkeeper should be saved for bursting down adds (Eyes on gul'dan, adds on CA), if the boss doesn't have any of these then use it on cooldown

You want to try and get as many fire elementals out there as possible, this means that you typically will use fire elemental on cooldown. The exception will be if you know that you can only get one more fire elemental out there before the boss is dead, and you want to hold off on it to better line up with other cooldowns or if the boss has some mechanic that will prevent the fire elemental from dealing damage.

As for aoe/cleave:
2 targets: See above, replace lightning bolt with chain lightning and keep flame shock up on both targets
3 targets: Only do lava burst with instant procs, still casting earth shock because of shoulders
4 targets: elemental blast on cd, spam chain lightning, spend maelstrom on earthquake
5+ targets: same as 4 targets, dont cast elemental blast anymore

Please explain your current stat priority, this includes gems, enchants & set bonusses you are currently going for

Elemental shaman isn't very needing of one stat over the other and an item level increase will in most cases be the best. It is however, still good to keep a balance. Even though our stats are pretty equal in power level, the ones that are most important are mastery and crit.

For mastery it is important to not go over 86% mastery, as it will overcap when using elemental blast. When using totem mastery, this cap is instead lowered to 76% because of the increased overload chance on lightning bolt and chain lightning

Crit is really good because of our passive Elemental fury, and will become even better with the new 7.2 traits.

As for gemming, it is best to use either mastery or crit gems, depending on what you are missing.
For food, fishbrul special has been the best up until now. With the buff to feasts, they will become better.
For neck enchant, Hiden satyr is currently the best.

The set bonus for elemental shaman provides a massive damage upgrade and should be used. As for which pieces that should be used, it highly depends on what alternatives there are available currently and at what item level.

Please explain your current talents and glyphs, explain why you are using them, when if and why you change your talents for any current encounter:

Elemental shaman currently has 3 different viable builds. These are the level 100 talents that you switch out and the level 15 talents that are corresponding to them.

Lightning rod is what i mostly use, as it is preferable on multible targets. Almost all nighthold bosses have some form of adds, so it is usually the best build to pick.
Because of the current tiers set bonuses, it sims the highest on single target aswell, so this will be used for the majority of the nighthold bosses.

Ascendance is the second most used one currently. as it is based around a 3 minute cooldown it will on some single target or cleave fights outmatch lightning rod. it is also especially good if the fight needs some sort of burst.

Icefury is currently not too useful on any of the nighthold bosses. the strenghts of this build is mobility, as it is filled with instant casts. It will most likely overtake lightning rod's spot as the strongest on pure single target in tomb of sargeras when we get new set pieces.

Here is for all the other talents that never really get changed out:
First tier: PoF/ER/TM
These talents are directly linked with the talents you choose at level 100.

PoF has great synergy with ascendance and is great for cleave fights

ER is great for mobility, this will be picked with icefury or in certain situations, lightning rod. It replaces totem mastery for lightningrod if the fight requires you to move over a large area and thus refresh the totems constantly.

TM has good synergy with lightning rod, making lightning bolt/chain lightning have a bigger chance to overload.

Tier 2: Gust of wind
This is the best mobility option for elemental shaman, saves a lot of time repositioning. Can be replaced for a Wind rush totem if the boss fight calls for it.

Tier 3: Lightning Surge Totem
Simple stun, not used very often in raids.

Tier 4: Ancestral swiftness
This is a passive haste boost. This is just straight up much better than elemental mastery for now.

Tier 5: Elemental Blast
This became really great in 7.1.5, it is currently stronger than primal elementalist, but with the new tier 20 set bonus, primal elementalist might pull ahead.

Tier 6: Echo of the elements
Echo is right now the best option, helps smoothen out the rotation. Liquid magma totem can be used for heavy aoe fights like Scorpyron, but that is pretty much the only use for it.

Tier 7: Covered in the top

Background information

Raid experience (Current and previous)

I started my raiding experience off in wrath of the lich king as an 11 year old tank pugging through ICC, it went alright for the amount of resources i had but because of age and such i wasn't able to get much further than normal.

In Legion i've come back to join a casual raiding guild. Being a guy that likes being competitive i've always tried to do my best and with this guild we managed to push through and get mythic Xavius down before the nighthold opened. i know its not too big of an accomplishment as emerald nightmare was quite easy, but i struggled a lot trying to get there with a casual guild as i saw no other possibilities of achieving my goals.

In nighthold the guild has not been doing such a good job, and its simply gone downhill from there on. I've been trying my best to pug mythic nighthold, and i've cleared mythic skorpyron as well as almost killing mythic CA (10% i believe).

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving

In legion i've joined the guild Veridian dynamics. Over time i've come to realize that this guild is a bit too casual for my likings, and i want some better results than what i can get in this one. After the things we achieved in emerald nightmare, i thought to myself that it was alright, but since then its just gone down hill, more and more people have been leaving and we haven't been able to establish a proper 20 man roster. Most of the players by themselves are good enough, but the problem mostly lies in disciplin and attendance.

Reason behind applying for Weeping Angels

I want to join Weeping Angels as i would like to become more competitive in wow pve. I play games to become the best that i can be at them, and wow is no different. My schedule feels like a big problem when playing wow, as i am not available on wednesdays, therefor i was very happy to find out that weeping angels were indeed not playing on wednesdays. I've read the things you are looking for in a player, and feel like those are some things that i can live up to. I look forward to work hard to improve myself and my character to become the strongest it can possibly be.

Write any additional information you feel you need to tell in your apply

Hi Enori,

Thank you for your interest and application to our guild.

This is a really well detailed application - you have answered every section in exactly the way we would expect.

However, upon reviewing your application we have come to the unfortunate consensus that as we have a full roster we are no longer interested in taking in more recruits at this time. As a result, we are declining this application, but we wish you luck in your guild hunt!
Hello, thank you for taking your time to respond. Is there a possibility for a spot in the future? and if so, how can i see if you are recruiting?
