Speedtest: Please do a speedtest on (http://www.speedtest.net/) and link us your result below.
Lovely thing being a healer never having to prepot. Guess that gold kinda balances out the fact that we always get gear last! Can't have it all. That is unless there is really hard early damage or a huge dps req ( Thinking zerg tactic Cenarius )
Please explain your rotation, if any
Another great thing. There is the amazing freedom healing provides.
But the little things we can do is:
1. Keep Holy Shock on CD
2. Use Flash heal of Holy Light on proc
Sac: Depends on damage how many CD's you need to combine.
1. Precast Bestow Faith/Judgment/Tyr's/AW/HA ( How many depends on damage/healing output needed)
2. AM, Holy Shock right after
3. Fit as many FoLs in as you can
4. If your haste allows it, another Holy Shock at the end. If not, you can end with a Light of the Martyr IF you wouldn't have time to cast another Flash of Light before AM is over.
Usually its just pure experience that can tell you what is best to use when. The type you get after wiping on a boss 1000 times in a row. It is that gut feeling you get after playing this fucking game for way to long. Only healing since TBC , never going back to any other role has given me this :) Atleast I think so !
Please explain your current stat priority, this includes gems, enchants & set bonusses you are currently going for
Earlier theory crafting showed crit to be alot more valuable then it has later shown to be. It is still above the rest at different caps ( 25% and 45% with tier , 30/50 without 2set) Personally I prefer to never fall below 40%. When it comes to the other stats I love the ability to decide myself which is actually something blizzard has managed this expansion. A perk of being a healer.
Down to the hard individual stats. Mastery has the highest potential for healing throughput, but it can be really fight dependent as to how much value you actually get out of it. Versatility is lower throughput, but has the added benefit of reducing your damage taken and an overall healing increase but not as much as mastery, mastery being above only when stacked/close together. Haste increases throughput but also increases how much mana you spend. They're all fairly equal and you could make an argument for prioritizing any over the other.
Since most of Nighthold is closer and stacked I prefer more mastery>versa with a good balance of haste.
Gems is crit unless I get above 45%, same with food and enchants. A careful balance to not break 45% and waste stats. Mark of the Ancient priestess is an overall increase above trained soldier. Same here, arguments could be made for both. Minimal gains.
Please explain your current talents and glyphs, explain why you are using them, when if and why you change your talents for any current encounter:
Tier 1: Bestow Faith is the best used talent. The others aren't tempting at all. Good HPS for mana output. Lights hammer is a good AOE heal when stacked, however the mana cost is insane.
Tier 2: Rule of Law. None of the other talents can really compare. Pure output compared to utility talents.
Tier 3: Just CC.
Tier 4. Aura of Sacrifice is a great raid CD in mythic, actually making paladins an alternative in that regard. Devo and Mercy have its uses but it really depends on what is preferred by the healing officer and healing/raid setup. ( Do we need damage red? do we have enough ? do we lack big healing CD's? so on )
Tier5: Holy Avenger > Divine Purpose IMO. It however depends on length of fight. Divine purpose procs free spells which is great for longer fights ( Thinking Guldan, Odyn ) but Holy Avenger is a better output spell and is usually the go to. Strong together with SaC aura.
Tier 6. Using judgement ( due to no other paladins ) together with Leg Ring is great. Best talent if you do not have another healer or tank pala using it. Otherwise sanctified wrath provides a strong alternative to make Wings better, which is always nice.
Tier 7: Beacon of faith is mostly go to. Together with another paladin it could be better to use BoL or if the fight is really spread and both tanks aren't taking hard damage. BoL looks to be more useful with t20. However awful that set bonus looks...
In nighthold apart I never have to change. Which has been an issue for me that it lacks variety other then having the choice of 1 or 2 beacons. Only thing I really switch around is trinkets, beloved cake.
Raid experience (Current and previous)
Vanilla: Nothing of importance or in a serious environment.
TBC: M'uru prenerfs, then the rest.
Wotlk: Full clear, but only on 10man HC.
Cata: Full Clear HC.
MoP: Missed ToT due to moving to the middle east.
WoD: Full clear up untill Mannoroth mythic . Moved back to Sweden, so missed that + archi.
Legion: 7/7m, 3/3m, 6/10m ( Hopefully 7/10 with Tich dead tonight )
Current guild: https://www.wowprogress.com/guild/eu/tarren-mill/Vivid I half lost the will to play after my long home guild broke down, so I stepped back to raid casually. The guild i joined is a lovely group of people however the much talked about ''legion burnout'' seems have hit yet again. Of the 5 healers in the group when I joined, only I remain. Some officers, including the best healing leader I have played with so far, have quit or stepped down and forced a hastened recruitment that has us in a bad spot. Without sounding to harsh the slow, painful and a constant flow of under performing trails and changes in leadership has hurt progress hard. Plus I miss more hardcore raiding ALOT.
Long story short at this rate I do not know how long this will hold. I want a stable home, not one which could be gone in a week.
Reason behind applying for Weeping Angels
Honestly after reading your website and talking abit to Adam I feel this could be a good fit. I know you are not searching for a healer, but doing my homework (like you will on me) I could see no Holy Pala in your logs. Everyone needs a H Pala. I shall bring the light.
I am also a one character type of person. I dread alts, and I am mained only this since TBC. Your progress together with no split runs and a person want to be back pushing ranks I hope to find a long term home here.
Call me a nerd but nothing beats the feeling of finally beating a boss after countless hours and 100's of wipes. Add high ranks to that and you got yourself a dopamine cocktail.
I wanted to keep it short and not full of text, but I guess it turned out so and so.
Thanks for reading though, please contact me for any questions.
