Please explain in detail your opener

Ascendance opener:

-3sec. Cast Fire Elemental
-2sec. Pot and Elemental Blast
0sec. Cast Flame Shock

2xLava Burst
Re-apply Flame Shock
Cast Ascendance and Racials / Trinkets
Continuously cast Lava Burst during Ascendance, not using ES to dump maelstrom, only deviating from LVB to cast Elemental blast

Lightning Rod opener

-3sec. Cast Fire Elemental
-2sec. Pot and cast Elemental Blast
0sec. Cast Flame Shock

Cast Lava Burst
Cast Stormkeeper if im not saving it for imminent add spawn
Cast Lightning Bolt to consume Stormkeeper charges

My opener can change from fight to fight due to timings of the fight so i would not be wasting Stormkeeper or Fire Elemental useages.

Please explain your rotation, if any

For raiding i would play one of two builds.
There is the ascendance build which is primarily a singletarget build, or for lesser cleave fights. This is also the build that my current legendaries caters best to.
And the other build would be the Lightning Rod build which focuses on heavy cleave and AOE fights. This is also the build that caters more to whoring and parses on fights where you would do fine as ascendance, but you could take Lightning rod to look better on meters. Ascendance provides on demand burst, which LR does not.

I would typically play ascendance on most fights, due to its ST power with decent cleave, though if more heavy AOE/cleave is needed i would play the Lightning rod build.

Ascendance works from a priority system that looks like this:

1. Cast Flame Shock if:
It is not on the target
It will expire 9 seconds or less, your Maelstrom is 20 or higher, and you have a stack of Elemental Focus
2. Cast Elemental Blast when available
3. Cast Earth Shock when your Maelstrom is 92 or higher
4. Cast Lightning Bolt if Power of the Maelstrom is active and Lava Burst has fewer than 2 charges available
5. Cast Earth Shock when your Maelstrom is 86 or higher and Lava Surge is not up
6. Cast Stormkeeper if you will be able to use all 3 charges
7. Cast Lava Burst if you have Lava Surge and the Stormkeeper buff will be up for more than 1.5 seconds per stack remaining
8. Cast Lava Burst
9. Cast Lightning Bolt

Or to simplify it:
Keep up flame shock > Elemental Blast > Earth shock on 86 or higher Maelstrom > Stormkeeper (Artifact ability) > Lava Burst > Lightning bolt

The lightning rod build also works from a priority system like the above, though since its mostly used on cleave the main priority of the LR build is target swapping once you procc it on a target to maximize the output of the talent.

Please explain your current stat priority, this includes gems, enchants & set bonusses you are currently going for

For Ascendance: Mastery (don’t go above 86.5%) > Critical Strike >> Haste >= Versatility
My currently simmed weights are: - Mastery being low is due to the softcap that is the 86,5% being so close to my current stats.

For LR: Critical strike = Mastery >> Haste = Versatility
With my current weights being:

I pretty much sim myself everytime i get a new piece of gear/after a raid, this is due to it being everchanging because of the softcap.

I go for either Crit or Mastery Gems, all dependant on my current stats. If mastery gems put me over the aforementioned mastery softcap i go with crit.

Crit/mastery, just like with gems
Mark of the hidden Satyr is currently the best, though trained soldier and Claw can be not that far behind all dependant on gear.

The setpieces that are optimal for me are:
Cloak, Chest, Legs and Gloves. This is due to me having legendary shoulders, and if i get lucky then the legendary helm is also very good. Plus the stats on helm and shoulders are not great since they are haste heavy and this is only favourable in really heavy AOE situations aka m+

Please explain your current talents and glyphs, explain why you are using them, when if and why you change your talents for any current encounter:

The Ascendance build as mentioned above caters to the best 2 of my legendaries, while it also provides on demand burst. All the 3 different shaman speccs are very close to each other on single target situations, though Ascendance is the preferred specc for most fights, unless heavy AOE/cleave is needed, then i would be playing Lightning rod, which is the case for fights like Spellblade, Tichondrius, Skorpyron, Botanist (Though not on mythic).

For heavy on demand AOE i would switch Echo of the Elements to Liquid Magma Totem as part of the LR build.

Most of the talents are pretty cookie cutter for the 2 speccs.

Background information

ZG, AQ20, Ony Cleared.
Killed 1. boss of BWL and AQ40.

Kara, Gruul, Magtheridon, MH: Cleared
SSC and TK: Everything but kael and vashj, my guilds were killing it, but i was going to a boarding school at this time so i could only attend 1 raid a week, and therefore i missed those kills and progression on them.
BT: Progressed Illidan but due to boarding school situation i had to quit on the day he died.

Eye, sarth and naxx cleared on 10 and 25man. No achievements.
Ulduar: Cleared and Yogg 3 lights. 25man, and 10man i did the meta achievement.
TOC: Cleared on 10/25
TOGC: Cleared on 10 with 0 wipes. Progressed Anub, but never killed him due to having paladins that was having a hard time clicking BOP.
ICC: Did the first wing and then i quit.

Screenshot of UI in RAID COMBAT (LFR is ok) - Dont have one currently of me in combat, though this shows both Weakauras and my bossmod timers.

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving

are insignificant and i mostly left due the guilds falling apart or me quitting the game.

Vex on Bloodfeather:
This was the guild i was in from Highmaul up until 2 weeks after the release of Nighthold. The guild fell apart due to recruitment issues, with us loosing more members, specifically healers, than we could afford to and replace.

Bird is the word on Frostwhisper
My current guild. I joined these guys 1 month ago, but when i had my interview before i joined they told me that there was no real opening in their DPS and specifically ranged DPS setup. I thought i was okay with this, but after a month of only seeing 1 kill on the 3 first bosses and then the weekly heroic clear, i have gotten to the point where i realized this was not for me. I notified my GM of my wishes to look elsewhere where there might be a spot for me, and here we are.

Reason behind applying for Weeping Angels

I applied because i was browsing wowprogress for 3 day raiding guilds, needing elemental shamans, and you guys came up.

I feel like i can bring an experienced and dedicated player to your raids, who contribute actively to tactics, while a player that can fill most roles in a raid except being a tank, which is the only role i currently am not completely comfortable with.

Write any additional information you feel you need to tell in your apply

I have none really, though if there is any questions feel free to hit me up on btag

Hi Enzyr,

Thanks for your interest and application to our guild.

We will review your application and get back to you within the next day or so.

Hi Enzyr,

Your application is really rather comprehensive, and your logs look to be rather good given your gear.

Our issue with this application unfortunately comes down to gear. While I appreciate that you cannot do a whole lot about this to a certain extent (outside of grinding Mythic+), given that we are into later Nighthold progression now, we simply cannot afford to be bringing players into the roster who we then need to gear up, as we need that gear on the players we will be taking to progression. While we are open to an Elemental Shaman, we have no great requirement or need for one, so I hope that you can understand that there is no reason for us to take in someone who is not already up to scratch with the rest of our roster.

As a result, we are going to decline this application. However, as I said - it is a good one, and so I do wish you luck and have confidence that you will find a suitable guild for yourself.
