Please explain in detail your opener

Use Wriggling Sinew 10s before pull, Pre-pot 3s before pull followed by pre-cast fireball. With lust: RoP into combust, if the fireball did crit you follow it with a fireblast, if it didnt crit you follow it with phoenix flames and fireblast. -> execute pyro chains.

Without lust: cast another fireball after the pre-casted one, then go into RoP/Combust and execute the pyro chains

Please explain your rotation, if any

Basically, try and execute the combustion phase optimally and outside of that just cast fireballs to get crit procs, turn them into pyro procs with fireblast and immediately use your pyro proc after the fireball cast, so that you can keep chaining these procs.

Please explain your current stat priority, this includes gems, enchants & set bonusses you are currently going for

Stat priority: Crit>int>mast>haste=vers
Every gem or enchant should be crit if possible, if its not possible (for example on your cape), then take int instead

Please explain your current talents and glyphs, explain why you are using them, when if and why you change your talents for any current encounter:

lvl15: Conflagaration is the general picked talent, though you want to go pyromaniac at pure single target fights.
lvl30:Shimmer, just helps keeping your rotation as efficient as possible without losing dps.
lvl45: Rune of Power, by far the strongest as you can combine it with your burst.
lvl60:Flame on, just the best option right now to chain more pyro's in your combustion phase.
lvl75: Ice Floes, helps executing mechanics without losing dps.
lvl90:Unstable Magic in single target fights/fights at which there is a relatively low amount of aoe going on, Living Bomb in aoe fights, such as Elerythe
lvl100: Kindling, by far the strongest right now, makes it possible to squeeze in more combustions

Background information

Raid experience (Current and previous)

Been raiding since WoD, got the t600 Blackhand, but unfortunately had to quit for some time due to me playing CoD at a professional level back then, and I had to travel sometimes for LAN tournaments which made my raid showup not optimal. I've quit CoD and therefore fully focus on WoW since the release of Legion, reaching t700 at Mythic EN and looking to go higher. Even though I haven't got a crazy amount of raiding experience, I'm used to gaming at the top level and I've already shown that I'm capable of playing WoW at a high level too by reaching decent ranks with fairly little raiding background

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving

High Tech, I was there from the beginning of Legion, but after we reached 7/7M early on, we got flooded by trials and as we had inexperienced guild leaders, the guild fell apart. We tried reforming the guild multiple times, but without success and I therefore decided to part ways.

Reason behind applying for Weeping Angels

I've looked through a lot of guilds on WowProgress and this guild seemed most appealing to me looking at raiding days, times and previous achievements.

Write any additional information you feel you need to tell in your apply

I know that my logs are not really in my favor, but I want you to keep in mind that I have been unable to raid for the last weeks and therefore the logs are pretty outdated and my gear is/was not optimized. I haven't been able to get gear through raids and have been unlucky getting the Medivh trinket, which on itself would already be a +-10% damage increase. I would love to hear from you guys soon ^^

what is your standing on how mages are standing for 7.1.5? what specs will be best and why?

fire mage is pretty straight forward, i still wonder why you blast over phoenix flame if fireball crit on opener.

what is your standing on cinderstorm vs kindling?

-My opinion on mages in 7.1.5: Currently, I think fire is looking decent due to some recent tweeks, though it will probably only be viable on aoe fights, as where frost and arcane are looking stronger on single target as of right now. What I've seen in sims up untill now is that frost is doing better than arcane in single target, but they are fairly close. I would probably go for frost though if it stays like this, this simply due to the fact that I have accidentally gotten the frost legendary hands (funny story, that was not intended to happen), and they are 2nd bis, meaning that my frost damage would probably be better than arcane. But, then again its PTR, so things might change.

About my usage of fireblast instead of phoenix flames after in my opener after my fireball has crit: It has been sticking to me ever since I started practicing the opener. After watching streams, youtube vids and talking with various theorycrafters on the mage discord when I was learning the class, I figured that this was the way to go and it has been so for me ever since. However, if there is any proof of phoenix flames being better to use in that scenario than fireblast, then I would gladly change it around.

My opinion on cinderstorm vs kindling: I am not sure whether this question is regarding how they currently are or how they will be in 7.1.5, so I will tell you my opinion on both to be sure:
-As of right now, I really think that Cinderstorm is pretty much never the way to go. Looking at top logs at all possible fights, I can't seem to find even a single person playing cinderstorm instead of kindling, which clearly shows me that kindling is very superior to cinderstorm as of right now.
-However, with the upcoming 7.1.5 cinderstorm buff and combustion nerf, this might change around. From what I have seen so far is that kindling will probably still your main pick in general, but that cinderstorm really has potential of becoming the better talent on certain boss fights, such as heavy reliant aoe fights. But, once again, its PTR, so things can change any time and I'm trying to be on top of the changes as soon as they are being put into the PTR.

I hope this was somewhat clear ^^

from what i've tested / heard, is that arcane is the go-to aoe/cleave spec, while frost will be the go-to ST spec.

atleast from what i've seen when playing mage, (i did it wrong at first aswell) getting the phoenix flame off instantly does multiple things. it gives you more start ignite, it gives you less chance of "missing" ignite proccing to reduce cd of it, while having max number of them.

i just know at start ect. cinderstorm was considered better on ST fights where you couldn't get 1 more combust out, but with lowering kill timers ect. kindling have become the superior talent

I tried figuring out reasons for using fireblast first instead of phoenix flames, and the main reason that I could come up with is this:

Due to the Fire Mage weapon trait "pyretic incantation", each consecutive critical strike will do 5% more damage, meaning that the abilities you use later on in combustion will have a bigger increase in damage % than the ones you use early on. As phoenix flames has almost double the spell power % of fireblast, meaning that the increase in phoenix flame damage will be more than the increase in fireblast damage, meaning that your overall damage output is bigger compared to using phoenix flames in the beginning.

If this is false, please tell me, but it made sense to me.

Then on the cinderstorm: Yes, I used cinderstorm in the beginning aswell, but like I said: As of right now, cinderstorm just doesn't weigh up to kindling, which might change in 7.1.5 where combustion gets nerfed (and so kindling), and cinderstorm damage gets buffed.
