Character information

Battletag? [OPTIONAL]

Race and Class
Pandaren Monk
Main spec

Itemlvl (mainspec)

Itemlvl (offspec)

Fînnera, shaman ilvl 845. I just play it sometimes but never raid or M+ with yet.

Please explain in detail your opener

Depends of the heals needed.
Usually I dps the time the others healers begin to put their HoT, shields etc. I just put some Renewing Mist when up.
I only prepotted sometimes on Ursoc when we needed it.
But I can, the consummables aren't an issue I'm alchemist with some rank 3.

Please explain your rotation, if any

Critical heal: TFT > Enveloping Mist > Spam Vivify if tank. No need to Vivify if that's a dps and if he doesn't take damages in the few seconds after the heal.

Raid heal: Vivify and Renewing Mist. Essence Font if the HoT will be usefull (it costs too much mana for the heal it does).

Tank heal: Enveloping Mist and Renewing Mist active.

Revival/Cocoon/Chi-ji are the raid CDs.
Revival can be use for healing (not really efficient but can save some lives) or for dispelling (Good on Dragons if too many people have debuff and the situation is critical.
Cocoon is usually to save a life.
Chi-ji is to increase a bit the hps when needed. It lasts 45sec so on a hard phase for healers, that's a little plus.

Mistweaver is more a reactive healer than a preventive one so there isn't a perfect rotation. The high mana cost and the lack of mechanics for mana regen makes that our heals have to be efficient or our mana just disappear in a blink of an eye.

Please explain your current stat priority, this includes gems, enchants & set bonusses you are currently going for

Gems/enchant: Versatility
As a lot of spec, Mistweaver works with the combo Versa/Crit.
Then comes Haste and Mastery. There aren't dead stats.
Mastery is usually around 15% of my total healing.

Please explain your current talents and glyphs, explain why you are using them, when if and why you change your talents for any current encounter:

Talent 15:
Chi Burst: Best healing talent, especially when raid is packed.
Mistwalk: When I just want some extra movement speed. (I appreciate more that talent, I use it a lot)

Talent 30:
Tiger's Lust all the time. Movement speed for 1 person, really strong when someone needs to get out really quickly (Ursoc's charge for example).

Talent 45:
Lifecycles: Choice by default. Reduce mana cost of Vivify and Enveloping Mist. Using one reduces the cost of the other one.
Mist Wrap: When in a tank healing role (Ursoc for example) for the extra second on Enveloping Mist. I personally prefer this one because you can move during the channel of Smoothing Mist. Really pleasant.

Talent 60:
Leg Sweep: Can rarely use it in raids. In EN, I use it on the Dragons and Il'gynoth.

Talent 75:
Depends totally of the fight.
Healing Elixir: Choice by default.
Diffuse Magic: On Dragons for example.
Dampen Harm: On Ursoc for example.

Talent 90:
Invoke Chi-ji, the Red Crane: 3min CD which can help. Boost hps for 45sec.
Summon Jade Serpent Statue: Only for dungeons.

Talent 100:
Mana Tea: For burst heal phases.
Rising Thunder: I only use it in dungeons.

Background information

Raid experience (Current and previous)

Current experience: 4/7 M down with a 5/7 experience cause I've seen all the fight on Il'gynoth.

Previous experience:
I was always in the "best guild" of my dead server. Which doesn't mean a lot in fact cause we were all casuals and were 12 good raiders for 20 persons... Mythic killed us with that 20-man roster.

Screenshot of UI in RAID COMBAT (LFR is ok)
Previous guilds and reasons for leaving

Previous guild before Legion:
Bloody Moon in Les Sentinelles (dead French server).
I played there for several years. These are some good friends still but I desired a better raiding experience I would say.

Previous guild in Legion:
Apotheosys on Draenor.
I've played with them since the beginning of Legion. The roster and the ambition of the guild were really good at the launch. But after the first weeks of raiding, the atmosphere degraded and people began to slack and not even upgrade their gear/weapon.

I want to be in a guild where everyone make some efforts to progress in the content. And raid in a good atmosphere which isn't the case in my current guild.

Also I got some conflict with the GM about Mistweaver. He considers it as a dead spec and always want me to dps and I want to heal in raid, not dps.

Reason behind applying for Weeping Angels

First reason is: Guild in Dreanor With 4/7M minimum.
Then you need a MW monk, which is really important for me. You want what I want to play. As a non-OP spec, it feels good to be desired sometimes honestly.
Finally, on paper you look good and I think I can integrate your roster and add a value thanks to my skills on my character. I've watched some of your videos too.
The raid days are good and finish earlier is cool for my IRL life ( and my sleep schedule !).

Write any additional information you feel you need to tell in your apply

I'm currently a student so I spend a lot of time on the game.

Hey Finnera,

Thanks for your interest and application to our guild.

Sorry for the late reply, I have been busy today so I haven't had a chance to look over your application, however I will get to it and give you a proper reply tomorrow at the latest.

I saw that you succeeded to finish EN, grats !

See you tomorrow for the reply :)
Hey there Finnera :)

We've decided after looking through your logs & the application that we will be declining your application.

- You're not touching upon over ½ the useful talents & completely disregarding some of them.
- You're using Mistwalk for some fights even though its clear outperformed both by Zen Pulse & Chi Burst. Moreover as a monk you got both the Statue, Roll & Tiger's Lust for mobility, there's no real reason to take this unless a specific strategy would somehow require it.
- You don't touch upon the possibilities of fistweaving either for mana regen or dps.
- You completely ignore RJW as a talent.

I wish you the best of luck in finding another guild :)

- I completly disregard some of them cause they are useless in the current statement.
Talent 15: Zen Pulse: No fights with a lot of adds. No need.
Talent 30: Tiger's Lust is better in all situations cause that can be used on another person than me.
Talent 45: Spirit of the Crane: Good talent but I didnt need more mana regen actually.
Talent 60: Ring of Peace and Song of Chi-ji are useless in raid.
Talent 90: RJW is just too much mana for what you get. Druids and shamans are way better to heal the raid, let them do it.
Talent 100: Focused Thunder: Outclassed by Mana Tea.

- Mistwalk is more a comfort spell. Zen Pulse is useless in the current raid and I use Chi Burst when needed.

- If you've seen my logs, you know that when I can I fistweave. More in HC ofc.*

- RJW isn't worth at all compared to Chi-ji or the Stattue so I reject it.

Thanks and good luck to you :)
According to the best logs, Rising Thunder is used by the best MWs on 4/7 of the mythic fights. Just thought I'd say after reading the fluff on boom time's website.
