I confirm I have read the example application and will strive, where applicable to my class, to put in a high level of effort and depth of information into the subsequent sections of my application. Link to the example application:

Currently I'm working throughout summer, and my shifts are all over the place but after that which will be around August time my attendance shall be 100% ready for Legion.

Character information

Battletag? [OPTIONAL]

Race and Class
Blood Elf Priest
Main spec

Itemlvl (mainspec)

Holy/Disc (whichever is needed)

Itemlvl (offspec)

Around 715, needs gearing.

I have alts (Hunter, Shaman, Warlock, Druid, Monk) which can be geared if needed but currently they're not geared enough to do much.

Please explain in detail your opener

Open with a pre-pot and a precast of Mindspike, and continue with a Mindblast and popping Shadowfiend. Will then mind flay until I've reached 5 stacks from the class trinket on the target, Mind blast and Mind Spike on CD weaving in Mind Flay to refresh stacks just before the expire, and then using my shadow orbs with Devouring Plague to use Insanity.

(Rotation and Opener are pretty much identical.)

Please explain your rotation, if any

(Rotation and Opener are pretty much identitcal.)

Please explain your current stat priority, this includes gems, enchants & set bonusses you are currently going for

Lot's of different opinions on this for Shadow currently but I'm going for:

Mastery>Haste (The main two important Stats for CoP).

I haven't played since September and researching this seems to be one of the best priorities for Shadow currently but I'll keep researching and trying different things until I find a preferred/best one.

Please explain your current talents and glyphs, explain why you are using them, when if and why you change your talents for any current encounter:

Tier 1: Angelic Bulwark - This comes in handy for when you face some heavy damage and can save you from dying in these heavy damage situations. (Provides a shield for 15% of base health when you drop below 30% health).

Tier 2: Angelic Feather - I use this just as a generic speed boost, comes in handy in and out of combat.

Tier 3: Insanity - This talent provides a nice damage boost from emptying all of my shadow orbs with devouring plague, allows me to weave this in as I would Mind Flay and keep my class trinket stacks up.

Tier 4: I switch this talent a lot as all of them are pretty useless, Dominate Mind being the least useless one as sometimes mobs can be mind controlled and it just makes the game easier.

Tier 5: Cascade - This talent is very good for AoE situations and provides a lot of damage if there is a lot of mobs. For a single target fight I might switch it out to Halo.

Tier 6: Clarity of Power - From looking up other priests and reading up on the class since I last played this seems like the best option and maximum damage output considering everything at the moment.

Will update, currently in the works of sorting this out for you.

Previous guilds and reasons for leaving

My priest has been in a few guilds but mainly in guilds with friends which I left due to them falling apart several times.

My last guild was actually you guys before I quit back in September when University started up.

Reason behind applying for Weeping Angels

I'm looking to get back into the game ready for Legion and I don't think I could find a better place to do so. When I was here raiding with you guys I had such a blast and really found it to be pleasant home, minus Brian.

Write any additional information you feel you need to tell in your apply

i have one question:
are you better then brian?
Don't ask stupid questions, Wuffles.
am sry just had to ask
Hello Gnarff :)

First of all i would ask what your opener would be like, if let's say you had 5 orbs instead of 0? as this many times are the case on kills / progress to min/max output numbers in burst.

2'nd of all I would love to hear a more in dept statweight, as i believe haste devalues when going for the mastery heavy build.

also it seems like you forgot a talent row.

also a bit more in dept in your talents :) as talents can change from fight to fight, (invis being good for some fights ect.)

looking forward to your response
Gnarff thanks for the application. While i'd love to have you back, if only for that op holy offspec, i have to ask you about reliability. You spoke in the past of returning and what level of assurance can you offer that you won't essentially fuck off when your next hit of smack or whatever presents itself?

Also, should we trial you, what effort are you currently and will you show to keep your gear relevant. what can you commit to in terms of vp farming and gear optimising

If I were to start a fight with three or more orbs it would go as following:

First of all I'd start out with Devouring Plague and then do two casts of Insanity in order to get five stacks of the Class Trinket on my target. I'd then continue to use Mind Blast on cool down and use Mind spike as a filler whilst weaving in Mind flay as I said to maintain the class trinket stacks. It would be pretty much the same as my rotation just using up the Shadow Orbs with Devouring Plague and Insanity for that extra damage boost on pull.

As for the stat weights I'm still trying to find out what's best for me, as I haven't played my priest at all seriously since September and I haven't a clue what's good and what's not. I've heard mixed opinions on going flat out Mastery or Haste, or balancing the two. (So, this is obviously something I need to actively work on).

(Sorry for the missing tier!) Twist of Fate - I use this talent as it's an insanely good damage increase for the end of the fight when you need just that extra bit of damage on the boss. It provides an additional 15% damage increase on targets below 30% health. As for talent changing, most of the talents will stay the same apart from the obvious like Invis which can come in handy for avoiding some abilities. Another talent that could change is obviously the Dominate Mind, that couild be changed to Void Tendrils in an odd situation but Tendrils aren't the best and are killed very easily.

Brian - I know I've spoken about coming back on and off for a while now but I feel like this is the time. With the expansion coming up and everything, I've got that to look forward to! I can assure you I won't pass up a raid just for a hit of smack, considering I don't do smack<3.

also i believe you have 2 difrent kind of "rotations" when you either have mastery or haste cap? can you try and explain these?

also from what i could quickly see in your opener with 3 or more orbs, you would loose some potential orbs by not using your MB on CD.

Usually i believe it's more like:

5 orbs = precast MS -> Fiend -> DP -> MB -> Insanity (2 ticks) -> Insanity -> MB -> normal rotation depending on orbs
4 or fewer -> Precast MS -> MB -> Fiend -> DP if orbs allow it -> Insanity (2 ticks approx) -> MB -> Insanity -> normal rotation.
Just gonna throw a bunch of realness out into the open which might hinder my chances of acceptance but as I've said, I haven't played in almost a year and a lot has changed since then. I'll be doing a lot of research and practicing over the next few days/weeks with rotations, stat priorities etc etc...

I'm not one to reject help.
